Professional French Hornist
Ginger Lai Kokoszka is a versatile and accomplished French hornist with a dynamic background in performance, education, and music therapy. A Yale-trained musician with a Master of Music degree, she brings exceptional skill in sight reading, transposition, playing by ear, memorization, and a deep understanding of multicultural musical styles and ensemble collaboration.
Ginger has performed with many of the region’s distinguished ensembles, including the Yonkers Philharmonic, Bronxville Pops Band, Westchester Band, Lehman College Community Band, the former St. Thomas Symphony Orchestra, Norwalk Symphony, and Danbury Symphony.
During the warmer months, she is often seen marching and performing on silver mellophone in parades with the Yonkers Military Band, the Saints of Swing, and the New Canaan Town Band, bringing music to communities throughout the Tri-State Area and the Hudson Valley.
Renowned for her technical precision, expressive artistry, keen attention to detail, and collaborative spirit, Ginger is a sought-after performer for symphony concerts, firemen’s marches, school musicals, operas, outdoor concerts, weddings, church services, and theatrical productions.

Accomplished Pianist
Ginger Lai Kokoszka is a classically trained pianist with perfect pitch and a rich, multicultural musical background spanning Asia and South America. A competition winner and featured soloist with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and Lehman College Community Band, she has accompanied opera productions like Così Fan Tutte and Carmen, theatrical works including The Threepenny Opera, and performed alongside Yo-Yo Ma in Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto.
Her collaborative experience includes vocalists, instrumentalists, chamber groups, school choruses, NYSSMA festivals, and private events. Whether coaching students or performing Carnival of the Animals with the Bronxville String Orchestra, Ginger brings technical mastery, versatility, and expressive artistry to every performance.
